Terms of service

These terms govern use of tryorbell. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to.

1. The service

tryorbell answers inbound telephone calls on your behalf, using information you supply, and performs actions you have authorised such as booking appointments and sending confirmations. We provide it as a hosted service; you are not buying software.

2. Your responsibilities

  • Keep the information tryorbell relies on accurate. It answers from what you give it.
  • Ensure you have the right to forward the numbers you connect.
  • Comply with call-recording and disclosure law where your callers are located. We provide the controls; the legal duty is yours.
  • Do not use tryorbell for unsolicited outbound calling, or for any purpose prohibited by your local telecoms regulator.

3. Acceptable use

We may suspend an account that is being used to deceive callers about who they are speaking to, to harass, to evade regulators, or to place volumes of calls we did not agree to. Where we can, we warn first.

4. Fees

Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Overage minutes are billed in arrears at the rate published on the pricing page. Prices may change with 30 days' notice; annual plans keep their price to the end of the term.

5. Trials, cancellation and refunds

Trials last 14 days and require no card. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the paid period. Annual plans are refunded pro rata if cancelled within 60 days of purchase.

6. Availability

We target 99.9% monthly availability, and 99.95% with service credits on Multi-site plans. If tryorbell is unavailable, calls fall back to whatever your carrier does with an unanswered forward — usually your own voicemail.

7. Your data

You own your call recordings, transcripts and customer records. We hold them as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum, available at privacy@tryorbell.com. On termination you can export everything for 30 days, after which we delete it.

8. Liability

tryorbell is an automated system and can misunderstand a caller. You are responsible for reviewing outcomes that matter — bookings, quotes and messages — and for setting escalation rules for anything urgent or clinical. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach after 30 days' written notice and a chance to fix it. We may suspend immediately where continuing would be unlawful or would endanger the service for others.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, with exclusive jurisdiction in its courts, unless your account is billed from our EU entity, in which case the laws of the Netherlands apply.
